Hello, friends!

I’m Deanna — award-winning family portrait photographer and industry educator. I’ve been photographing families, babies, children, seniors, pets and businesses in the Raleigh area since 2013.

My kids are my inspiration. This all began because when my oldest daughter was born and people loved the photos I took of her. Now I’ve got three muses, a mini homestead, and the outdoor studio of my dreams coming to life right in my backyard.

Life is chaotic and beautiful.

Capturing perfect poses and all the silly in-between moments for the same families year after year is the absolute best part of this memory making business. My style is colorful, sharp and classic. I opt out of fleeting editing trends in exchange for timeless, heirloom styles that will remain relevant and lovely through the years.

How to Spot Me at a Session

Look for the trusty black leggings and a pair of Vans sneakers. I suppose I could’ve put a proper headshot here, but you’d be unlikely to recognize me in the wild. 😂

Quick Facts:

• I’m from Long Island, NY

• I moved to NC for college in 2006 and instantly felt at home

• My three “babies” are my whole world and “mom” is my favorite title

• I love animals and babies and gardening

• We have 10 pets (so far) — 4 cats, 3 ducks, 2 bunnies and a dog

• I hate trends… not just in my work, but in life

• I may seem like an extrovert while I’m behind the camera, but my favorite place to be is home

• I am a proud recovering perfectionist

• Working and collaborating with other local small businesses is incredibly important to me

• I donate my time to photographing premature babies in local NICUs, and families with children suffering with terminal illnesses — as long as I live, those sessions will be the most impactful and powerful moments in my career
